Volume 17 of the Schriften des Instituts für Dokumentologie und Editorik has been published!

The volume publishes the dissertation Genre Analysis and Corpus Design: Nineteenth-Century Spanish-American Novels (1830-1910) by Ulrike Henny-Krahmer.

The dissertation is available in printed book form as well as in PDF format and also as an HTML version in Open Access. It deals with the construction of a digital text corpus of nineteenth-century Spanish-American novels and their computational analysis with regard to the novels‘ subgenres and literary currents. Various categorization approaches are tested (including classification with topics and a family resemblance analysis with networks).
